Album Notes

Tracy Barns began her career singing and playing saxophone in an all family band, “The Weirz,” at military bases, churches, schools and several well-known Los Angeles night spots. “We all played several instruments”, she said of the band, which included brother, Michael Damian, an actor who played on the soap opera, “The Young and the Restless.”

Tracy put together her second CD, “Good Days are Comin’” which combines all of the songs of her first solo CD, “Windmills and Trains,” and a selection of new compositions. A country offering rich in textures and feelings of a place she calls home, Tehachapi, California. Barns wrote most of the songs on the CD, collaborated with her producer, Howard Yearwood, and sister, Maria Weir Werth, who also plays bass in her band.

A former member of the Branscombe Richmond Show, in which she sang and played blues saxophone, this very talented singer/songwriter from Tehachapi, California has recorded hundreds of songs as a session singer and background vocalist. Bob Blackburn, music coordinator fro Westwood One Radio networks says, “I am hooked! Flat out she has a great voice…”

Tracy has performed numerous times at Buck Owens’s Crystal Palace. Buck invited her up to sing with him and The Buckaroos on live radio, KUZZ. “It was a real honor just to be on stage with the great Buck Owens” she said with all sincerity.

Hi Tracy, My name is Julianna, I work for the UFW. I first heard you sing when you sang for Linda Chavez Rodriguez Funeral there in Tehachapi. And then I thought your voice was beautiful. You have sang a couple of more times for the UFW in Keene, I heard you the other day in La Paz/Keene for the Mass for Cesar's 15th Annivesary of he's death. That day was such a beautiful day, I had been feeling a little low, and that day as I was taking pictures of the event, I just listened to you sing, and I could feel my worries just lifting, my heart didn't feel as heavy. thank you for your beautiful voice. My mother had gone up to you and talked to you about if you had a CD out, her name is Esther and she works there in Keene with Arturo Rodriguez. I need a little uplifting so I pulled up your name and found this web site, and listened to a couple of your songs. Am hoping to get a CD when you get them to Saint Malachey.

This is just the revelation of the year. Top class compositions, top voice, incredible musician work, a highlight from the first to the last track. Quite a few songs were added up to my VERY BEST collection. This girl earns a major label contract.
