Tracy feels, accepts and expresses the pain of living with clarity, humor and without blame or judgement. And he does it with the brevity and economy of language that belies incredible depth. Number one song: Great Unknown by Tracy Huffman perfectly captures the fragile strength and growing sadness of the middle-aged dreamer surveying their damaged life and unprepared for the twilight years coming on fast. I may identify with this one a little too much. I know I love this album too much. And I'll miss Tracy in L.A. way too much.

The Charlie camp strikes again!

Boranda Records' Charlie MaGovern keeps popping up with new artists that display sheer, uncomprimised talent that needs to be checked out by folks who like their music honest, and smart. Tracy's debut is simple pop/roots that is catchy as hell, and his songwriting says he's a guy to watch out for right now, and in the future. These guys (Kip Boardman, Randy Weeks, Tony Gylkison, Mike Stinson, Dave Knudson) are visible in the California music scene. Soon, I hope they'll be visible around all of North America, Canada and Europe.
