Tracy Rice's fourth album, Live at Yadda, was recorded May 17, 2008 at the historic Yadda Club in Covington, KY -- across the river from Cincinnati. It includes 13 new original songs (from the melodically husky Beautiful to the sizzling-hot I'm in Love With You) and 2 bonus tracks of Rice classics Won't Leave You Behind and Stay Away.
Live at Yadda is clearly the next musical step in Rice's career, returning to the classic rock roots of her Out of Light album and incorporating the acoustic sound of Truth. The combination has landed the Canadian artist in the ironic categorizations of Southern Rock and Americana, but she doesn't mind: "Genres are always shifting. The Eagles are recording as country artists and Led Zeppelin used to be considered metal but now they could be Southern Rock. I play what I play and I let other people say which box it fits into today."
For this album Tracy rocks out onstage with her youngest brother, drummer Pik Wragg. Since the recording the two continue to play together occasionally and Tracy says he's the best drummer a gal could have "because he's grown up with my music-- he can anticipate my next move."
If you haven't made it to Tracy's live show yet, this album will put you in the front row. If you have, take some of the magic home with you on this CD!

Album of the Month - Sept 2008
author: Street Voice UK Music Magazine
Some one asked me today what I thought was the best part of the internet. My reply was coming across artists such as Tracy Rice. Tracy has such a great voice and the passion she puts into her lyrics and music is spot on. I\'m surprised this Canadian artist isn\'t signed to a major label or at least a large independent label. \'Out Of The Light\' sees Tracy on more of a pop/rock outing and you know what I can\'t find a single track on this album that I don\'t like. This album is very catchy from start to finish and I\'d be surprised if the majority of music lovers couldn\'t get into this album. Despite being released in 2001 I still recommend you track this down for tracks such \'Out Of The Light\', \'Won\'t Leave You Behind\', \'Too Young\', \'I Want To Let Go\', \'Say The Words\' and \'Don\'t Leave Now\'. I love Tracey Rice and I don\'t say that lightly. Listening to this album has really made my day. Definitely one album to look out for! 9/10
