Tracy Sands is a traditional Irish and Contemporary Irish Vocalist from a small village in County Down called Mayobridge, situated on the north east coast of Ireland.
She began singing at the age of eight for her home town and has since then competed in and won many local and national singing competitions.
Her family stems from a long line of Traditional Irish folk music which includes the very famous "Sands Folk Family", who are known not only in Ireland, but in Europe and the U.S.A.
She played at many festivals and concerts in Ireland before coming to America, including the Abbey Theatre, Dublin, where she was invited as the guest singer for the W.B Yeates International Festival in 1994.
She also appeared at the Fiddlers Green Festival, Rostrevor Co.
Down in 1995.
Now living in Florida, Tracy has performed on many local stages for over four years now and has participated in the West Palm Beach Irish Festival and South Florida Folk Festival, three years running, and the Bad Abbotts Irish Festival, Boston.
This year she appeared for the first time at the hugely popular "Sunfest 2000", here in West Palm Beach.
Her debut album "Voice on the Line" was recorded in Florida early 1997 and Tracy takes credit for the title track.
The cd is not only a colaboration of well known Irish songs, it also boasts a "contemporary kick", as described by Charles Passey, of the Palm Beach Post, with four original songs including the rock edge she gives to her own song "Voice on the Line." Her second album, "Enchanted," available now, marks the beginning of new lively sounds and strong Irish ballads showing not only Tracy's traditional Irish vocal but her ability to reach new audiences with strong contemporary vocals.
Tracy can be seen performing all over the East and West coast of Florida, as well as at venues throughout America.

Loved this album in it's raw and emotional state. Very few artist achieve this sound. She's the real deal. Just love the early sound of this beautiful singer. Angelic and unassuming like you were sitting in the local pub belting out songs as we do in the old country. Just like a flower Tracy blooms and blooms with each new album. Hurry up and finish the new one. We're all waiting here in Dublin. Slante!

A wonderful collection! My fave is "Step it Out Mary".

I rated "Voice on the Line" one star below "Enchanted" only because the audio reproduction was not as good (probably the studio). Yet again, every song on this CD is magical! Note to Tracy - we are waitng for CD #3!

My Wife Marjorie & I meet Tracy at the Pittsburgh Irish in Sep 2002 & found her style of trditional & contempoary Irish singing to be perfect to our ear's. We purchased "Enchanted" at the festival & have just recently purchased "Voice On The Line".
We love both CD's (Enchanted is our favorite). Favorite songs are (He Belongs To Me) & (Danny Boy).
We have been telling our friends & relatives about Tracy. My brother Joe & his wife Harriet live in Delray Beach Fl. & I expect they will be making a visit to Paddy Mac's in the near future.
Thanks Tracy - we love your music.
