Tracy Smith has been performing traditional folk music at historical reenactments and public venues for over five years. His style mixes old Americana with Celtic influences. He specializes in music from early America up to 1860. He continues to perform in several states around the Midwest. He has drawn inspiration from listening to Pete Seeger, John Denver, Peter Paul and Mary, The Kingston Trio and other great products of the twentieth century folk revival.

With his interest in history he has researched and collected a great number of songs from the Colonial and pre Civil War eras in America and performs them in a no-nonsense sing along style.
