Album Notes

Trad Linn – Has been performing since 1996. The core group as it appears on this album is Terry Kane – vocals and guitar, Will Collins – whistle, and Doug Lammer – uilleann pipes. Often times in performance it has included many members of Will Collins family, most noteably his father Dave Collins an accordion player from a family steeped in the traditional Irish music of the Bronx. This first CD released by Trad Linn features only Terry, Will, and Doug with guest artists George Fairchild – bodhrán playing on several tracks and daughter Audrey Fairchild – cello adding her plaintive notes to the song “An Mhaighdean Mhara.” Terry Kane has toured Ireland several times and has performed and taught music workshops across the United States from Montana to Washington, DC. She has a masters degree in Music Education from Crane School of Music and is employed as a full-time musician working mainly in Philadelphia area. She is also a member of the duo “Kane and Beatty” www.kaneandb
