For years children have been asking Sue Trainor to record these songs. Now your whole family can sing along!

I've called this recording "In Our Own Words" because it features the best of the songs created with students during my elementary school residencies over the past twelve years, as well as songs that I perform in school assemblies. Even in students' very first composing experiences, the process occasionally leads us to truly artful results that deserve publication. This collection is a celebration of those inspired moments. ~ Sue Trainor

Proceeds from this recording will be donated to organizations that sponsor Arts-in-Education programs. Arts-in-Education is learning by using your whole brain. The songs in this recording were created for and with elementary school students who were practicing "left brain" writing skills in a "right brain" musical context. These song lyrics are well-composed and offer delightful surprises, the melodies are compelling, and the performances feature Sue Trainor's great vocal energy along with other professional musicians and a children's chorus.
