Album Notes

Tal M. Klein and David Marino formed Trancenden as a live DJ/band fusion act in 1996. In 1997 they released their first album, "Zen and The Art of Insanity." By that point Tal and Dave were performing in various New York City lounges and clubs and they released their acclaimed first vinyl pressing, the DJ's Delight EP, which promptly sold out almost immediately following its release.

After releasing the second pressing of DJ's Delight, Dave took a hiatus from Trancenden to focus on his career.

However, they reemerged together a year later with a deeply profound ambient project which they worked on with Maria Cuccia (Empath) and artist Craig Allen.

Following the release of Empath vs. Trancenden, Dave and Tal began to work on an unrealized progressive drum n bass project, but their styles had grown different and they both wanted to pursue solo endeavors.

Tal then began to work on his first solo Trancenden project, entitled "nicoTine fits & anaLogue beats." All Music Guide defined this release best when they wrote, "The album is constructed from the bottom up, using beats from here and sampled bits from over there, built up to create something fun, dancy, and funky." Almost four years and several releases later, Trancenden's goal remains the same.

Tal now lives in Northern California where he continues to find creative ways of redefining the lounge scene (most recently with his "peace love beats" album, and ambitious live venture, "t.vs.T" with friends and fellow musicians Dan and Mel from t spigot).

The tightest beats I've heard in ages!

This CD just straight up kicks ass! If you're a fan of rock-solid, straight-forward fresh beats you've gotta snag this disc. The ass-shakin' potential of this collection is maxed-out, and the understanding of raw funk by this artist is evident in every cut. Bitchin, man, bitchin.

DIS PHAT!

Peace Love Beats is simply a must have. I've been following Tal's progress since his college radio days and I've yet to be disappointed, this album is simply a collection of big fat beats & samples, blended, shredded, sliced, diced, and liquified for my listening pleasure and I love it!
