Tranell Brown, 9 years old, Chicago, IL


Tranell began her singing career at the age of 6, with a spec jingle of Kraft Foods’, “Oreo Cookie.” Since then she has recorded 2 more spec Kraft jingles, “Mac and Cheese” and “Grillz.” Tranell’s jingles made her an instant star on myspace.com, with over 70k plays.

She snagged her first pod cast interview at the age of 7 on the Uncle D Morning Show, May 19, 2006. Her interview ranked #3 out of 734, placing the Uncle D Morning show at its’ highest ranking to date.

Tranell has performed in the Bahamas, Alaska, family reunions and in various talent shows throughout the city.

On October 26, 2006 Tranell won 2nd place in the First Annual Evanston Idol Competition. On January 21, 2007 Tranell was given the opportunity to showcase her talents in the Royce Glamour Show. She received a standing ovation for her performance which was seen all over Chicago on Channel 19.

Tranell’s 1st place performance dazzled her 3rd and 4th grade peers when she performed for the Back to the West Talent Contest on February 9, 2007.

Her debut album, “My Name Is Tranell,” was independently released July 7, 2007 by Twyce Entertainment. She has already sold 1000 copies.

Tranell enjoys rapping, singing, acting and a host of other things. At 9 years old, she is being honed for stardom and it won’t be long before she reaches her goal.
