Album Notes

Tranny is a rock band, plain and simple.

It's the sound of minds clashing; the feel of a four-hour traffic jam; the best sleep of your life; or the hand you hold when it storms at night. Its live shows unleash hooky, ass-pounding intensity with a fever-driven purpose. The band’s initial CD, “Watchalay!”, is now available.

Songs from the CD trace the recent past of singer JonMalone, “This album is a complete vent. It chronicles a time in my life where I could only speak truths in metaphor; but could still see them plain as day." Although many of the songs were written with an acoustic guitar, the treatment received from the band is both mystifying and electric. Under the production of David Percefull (EMI/Abbey Road, Sony Music Group, Universal Records, Jive Records, TVT Records, Bowling for Soup, Caroline's Spine, Seether, Oliver Black), “Watchalay!” slams home a number of songs that have a sure place in the face of modern and, more notably, future music.

A Solid Rock Album...
author: Brian
The boys in Tranny have delivered a solid rock album. Their sound has enough unique qualities that it's difficult to make an adequate comparison between them and any other mainstream acts. However, they've delivered an album that is a balanced mix of slower songs with some other slightly harder songs. It's very easy to listen to and the lyrics are quite interesting at times.
