Album Notes

On Sept 29th 2004 TRANSCENDENCE performed a live acoustic but "plugged-in" show at the intimate Jazid club on Miami Beach during the crazy MTV Video Music Awards weekend. The show was video-taped in HI-DEF with two cameras and the sound was recorded live from the board augmented by two live audience mics. What started out as a very low key impromptu show turned out to be a stellar performance with many high notes, including songs from their latest CD Sleep with you and a few songs from the soon to be released new album Nothing is cohesive. Two additional new songs from the CD the band just started recording this fall for release later this year were also performed --. already audience favorites Song for Jasmine and Messed it up again.

* Because the concert was an acoustic and seated performance, it has a very subdued intensity that is rare for the band that usually play full-blown electric sets. This particular concert really captures the songs in their purest form.

* The video footage was edited and the audio then digitally mastered by Eyeball Media, and then transferred to DVD format by Dippy Films.

* Songs on the DVD include a rough but fun version of the band's last single Superhero girl, (where Ed forgets the first few lines of the song entirely - but we included it anyway). Highlights include the melancholy Beautiful one, a gorgeous All this is beginning to feel like an ending, a very rocking I'm not the only one opens the set, and a powerful Little Tree closes it out, plus six more great songs.

* Featured Bonus Material: The DVD features the never-before-seen ten-minute montage of the band's 2002 CD release party for the RISE AND SHINE album featuring the songs Keep moving on, Minnie Driver, and Tres cool, and a special interactive discography of the bands entire catalogue.
