Album Notes

Transducer

Definition 1: A device which transforms one form of energy into another, i.e. acoustic energy into electrical energy.

Definition 2: A diverse group of rock musicians from several different generations of rock dedicated to crafting inspired and unique hard rock stylings. The group known as “Transducer” evolved from a bay area based group, “Room 3”. Originally an 80's -90's hard rock cover band. The group took on a new drummer, Jadon Figuerido, and shortly after a second guitarist, Nathan Becker. Moving away from covers, they began crafting original songs which drew equally on the diverse influences of all of it's members. To put in a nutshell TRANSDUCER's debut album "Finding Home" consists of soulful rythm guitars and hooks, screaming yet well crafted guitar leads, funky/progressive drum chops with a John Bonham style kick, a jazzy inspired bass guitar and well crafted vocals with a reminicense of Geoff Tate from Queensryche.

TRANSDUCER is:

Vic Urbina Vocals: A veteran of the road who's toured the country as the front man for a number of bands through the years. His professionally honed vocals cuts a swath through the din of the 5 piece rock outfit.

Gary Pedro- Lead Guitar: A technically proficient axe man influenced by the incendiary work of Edward Van Halen.

Nathan Becker - Guitar: A soulful guitarist influenced equally by the grunge of Alice in Chains to the classic sounds of Hendrix and Zepplin.

Steve Owen - Bass: A versatile bottom end man who holds down everything below 150 Hz.

Jadon Figuerido - Drums: The backbone and the beat. Jadon has played with various Bay Area groups and draws on influences from Chad Smith to Dennis Chambers

Great sounds coming from this group for sure. I can definately here all of your influences like RUSH and any group from the grunge era. What I like best though is that you don't overdue any one of them, it all blends nicely. Sweet guitar work especially on Reason to One. Your singer fits your style nicely and as far as the rythem section goes the bass player seems to play right in the pocket and your drummer Jadon has got some sweet chops.

I just listened to the two minute portions of each song and I'm extremely impressed. The music sounds like so many of my favorite bands all mixed into one. My favorite song is Double Feature, the drummer is slammin and I like the guitar work. The vocals cut right through also. GREAT JOB!!!
