Transentience is founded in 2005 by Kristof Elst, with a cross between symphonic metal and powermetal in mind.
The demo “For Hope is Still There” is recorded in 2006. The demo contains three songs, “For Hope is Still THere”, “Calling out the Gods” and the ballad “After the Storm” and receives international acclaim.
After a year of extensive rehearsals Transentience is invited to play Metalbash - the Netherlands’ most prestigious metal-contest. Transentience is one of the few if not the only Female-Fronted metalband ever to have been invited to play at Metalbash.
Following their performance at Metalbash starts a full year of playing most parts of the Netherlands. They share the stage with national and international acts such as After Forever, Delain and the Taiwanese Seraphim.
The end of 2007 sees the recording of the promo “Paradox” with Joost van den Broek (After Forever) mixing and mastering the tracks. These recordings receive international acclaim as well by Sonic Cathedral and Metal Maidens.
New recordings and a full-length album are scheduled for the end of the year.

Excellent Symphonic Metal
author: Darren D
Transentience is one very talented band. All 4 tracks on this album are solid. Good music composition, songwriting, and a very talented vocalist Melaina Mulder who is very simular in style to Tarja Turunen. If you like Nightwish's Oceanborn, Wishmaster, and Century Child CDs you are going to love this band. After a few listens you will be hooked. Looking forward to their next release. Hope they get signed onto a major music label.
