Album Notes
Travis Michael Nagy is a songwriter who aspires to capture elements of the "cosmic American music" in his writing. Born in South Florida, Travis was heavily influenced by his upbringing in a working class environment. His worldview was shaped first by exposure to his family's Rust Belt roots in Pittsburgh and the multicultural currents running through his early childhood in South Florida.

At the start of his teenage years, Travis moved to Great Falls, a small town in South Carolina. It was here that he heard Bob Dylan and Hank Williams for the first time, and his love for story-telling songs was sparked. While a student at the University of South Carolina, he first sought to combine his knack for the written word with his love for music that told a story.

Today, Travis's songwriting continues to pay homage to the hard working people that surrounded him in his childhood. He also seeks to tell his own stories from his travels around the world and his talks with folks from all walks of life.

Travis Michael Nagy is currently based in Nashville, Tennessee. Travis wrote the songs on this album during times of transition. For the most part, these are country-folk tunes distilled from daydreams and mined from memoir.

Travis loves stories. Hopefully he’s got one or two or eleven in here that you’ll love, too.

Thanks for listening.
