Album Notes

Imagine south Alabama during the depression era. The songs in this CD were written for our folklife play "Come Home, It's Suppertime" and the stories that have been passed down by the incredible people who survived the depression. All songs were crafted to fit a particular scene in the play. I wrote the songs based on my own experiences as a child growing up on a farm here. You will hear songs with a touch of gospel, blues, and country which are a reflection of music I grew up hearing and playing over the past 30 years. They are songs sung by everyday people who work and live here. The proceeds from the sale of this CD go to a scholarship for Pike County High School seniors to help finance their college education.
