Michael Treder is a Fingerstyle Artist from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. His music is included on the Michigan Fingerstyle Guitar Society CD. He is an Acoustic Guitar Workshop Featured Artist, and past Consulting Artist. Michael enjoys Neoclassical or Experimental Classical styles as well as Jazz, Blues, Jump Blues and Americana roots Folk music. "Relax" was released after Steven Treder heard a performance he knew was his father's on another artists MP3 radio station. He stated, "Dad, give this a shot", and "Relax" was released. The response was overwhelming.
"Relax" is music that MT played to relax. Michael's music is known for its therapeutic qualities. It has been used for diverse purposes from meditation to calming down kids in daycare. Recently, Michael’s music has been utilized in special education environments. The teachers report that their classes were in an uproar. After putting on MT’s music, the students calmed-down & were able to focus.
MT describes his music; "Category, classification, you decide." MT records his music in one take no overdubs or studio tricks. His goal, "I want to sound like I'm playing in your living room." Invite him in!

Michael Treder a Tap/ /Fingerstyle/ Contemporary Artist from Escanaba ,Michigan entertained an appreciative crowd at Mid-Michigan’s newly created venue the Front Row Theater in Gladwin,Michigan .
Treder performed cuts off his latest released CD entitled Relax.
The all new Front Row Theater experienced a power outage 5 minutes before Showtime but electricity was in the air as Treder performed flawlessly with only candlelight and his ovation guitar. The crowd responded graciously to a performance rarely experienced in the area. Michael is somewhat of a pioneer in the type of music performed by other tapping guitarist such as Michael Hedges, Billy McLaughlin & Preston Reed. It was as if everyone settled back to a wonderful heartfelt performance nothing short of a great relaxing evening among friends & family on the stormy night. Michael also gave the crowd a taste of his beautiful operatic quality voice during his performance. We are eagerly awaiting Michaels return in our 2008 concert series.
