Album Notes

A band formed in early 2006 with members from all over the world. Ken Vargas (singer, percussion) hails from Costa Rica, Josh Simpson (guitarist,Vocals) from northern Texas. Steve Morton (guitarist) a direct descendant of a powerful Mohican warlord from eastern Canada, Brad Colbourne (Bass) 2nd Cousin of a powerful viking baron, and Kevin Nelson (drummer) a mountain dwelling man from Kamloops B.C. Since the bands inception and after auditioning numerous musicians a small tight knit groups of friends emerged with a single goal in mind of writing original music with no rules or roles for any members. This resulted in a fresh blend of sounds and ideas as each player came from different musical backgrounds. Fans of the music have described it as rock, jazz, funk, metal, hardcore and other various sub-genres. As dedicated as the day theses gents set out into the jungle of rock & roll and showing no signs of slowing. Treeburning have developed a fan base from very energetic live shows. The first full length from this band was released in 2007 titled “After the Fall.” Recorded at Calgary’s finest the studio The Beach/Outhouse with studio engineer Grant Howarth The band is currently residing in Calgary and enjoying a warm welcome from fans and fellow bands alike. This band is here to stay and insists on entertaining you.

Awesome band, with an original streak that weaves through each song. Layered portions are fantabulous with a flavor not unlike milinikly portions of a very wet red watermelon. (Can you taste it?) Some things are meant for the very elite! Try this cd and you will love it!
