Album Notes

The Tremors:
Blending old-school jazz and country styles with an "alt-rock" flair, The Tremors have found a unique niche with audiences in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Members Parker (country boy) and Scott (jazz cat) first began playing together in early 2002 and were later joined by Matt on drums/percussion and Tom on Bass Guitar.

Parker Nusbickel:
hails from the steamy low country of the deep south where the notes slide around on your tongue like the oil slick on your grandpa's coffee. spoons out verses that make you think about you instead of him. tells stories of addiction, lost-love, child abuse, and america's thick neck losers. has been crashing on your couch for the past three weeks.

Scott Woeckel:
Originally from Chicago Illinois, Scott came to Los Angeles at the age of 18 to explore it's musical possibilities. He has since earned a BA in Jazz Guitar Performance & Ethnomusicolgy from the University of California, Los Angeles and has been a sought after session guitarist, producer, and composer, working with many top artists. Coming full circle, Scott is enjoying a return to his roots with The Tremors, where his playing ranges from greasy down home blues, to psychedelic redneck jazz.

Matt Muñoz:
Born and raised in Texas, Matt has been playing drums since the age of 11. He went to college to study music, but still doesn't like Gregorian Chant much. He cites Jeff Buckley, Buddy Rich, Dave Weckl, Michael Hedges, The Smiths & Wilco as musical influences. He loves pie, his mother & Shiner Bock beer.

Tom Connolly:
Growing up in San Diego California and venturing out on his own at an early age, Tom draws from life experiences more than hours plugged in. His influences include the Sex Pistols to Johnny Cash and everything in between. Having played in bands around California, the one thing that has been a common thread is the honesty of the music and the places it can take you.

7 songs, one happy customer

I was given this disc, cause I love songs abut drinking. This disc is about a whole lot more than that, too drunk being my favorite, it's about coming to terms with yourself, your relationships and discovering truth that lies at the source of all pain. If you can get past the fact it's a live record, and a good quality one, you will not be disapointed with the poetry that lies within. I think everysong deserves a star, but the site only lets me choose five, so five stars for the tremors, but they deserve all seven.

I'm on the Run!

This song was so fun... from the breakneck, way too fast tempo to the overly twangy vocals to the 4 second harmonica interludes. I loved it! Some people will probably bitch about the lyrics of this song, but I thought that they were funny and witty (I don't even have a gun, how am I goin to hurt someone?). Too many people get wrapped up in writing 5 minute, "deep" songs that they forget about the power of a simple, fun songs like this one. Keep up the good work! Paul Delamater
