Album Notes

Trevor Dick is an artist with Flyingbow Music Ministry. All proceeds from the sale of his recordings go to support the ongoing non-profit charitable work of Flyingbow.

“Yahweh” is a fresh instrumental collection of timeless old and new songs of faith mixed with some original compositions portraying the indescribable, eternal, self-existent, “I Am” character (and unspoken name) of God. The Artwork is a commissioned painting by Artist Tina Newlove portraying the same theme.

Twelve dynamic arrangements draw the listener in to a face to face God-encounter with such classics as: “Fairest Lord Jesus”, “My Jesus, I Love Thee” and “Praise To The Lord The Almighty”. The CD also includes a mysterious, moving, rendition of “Holy, Holy, Holy” a celebrative jazz, funk version of “Come Thou Fount” and a powerful pop, rock anthem of “Everlasting God”. Tribal, world-beat rhythms drive “In Christ Alone” and the title track U2 cover song, “Yahweh”. Three new compositions, “The Call”, “Passion” and “The Path” debut on the album and describe our spiritual journey with God. The worship package ends with an expansive, stirring “movie-soundtrack” rendition of Jesus Loves Me in "This I Know".

In the recording and in concert, Trevor (on the electric violin, acoustic violin and viola) is backed by the 5th String Blvd. Band’s seasoned professional players including: Steve Heathcote on drums and percussion, Will Jarvis on bass guitars, Corey Lacey on guitars and Brad Toews on piano and keyboards. The group collaborated on the “Yahweh” song arrangements to create a tight, creative, interactive feel. The “Yahweh” disc was recorded live at the world class Phase One Recording Studios in Toronto, Canada and engineered by Richard Cleaver.

During the live concert production, the "Yahweh" musical themes come alive with creative set design, lighting and media using thought provoking visuals such as video, graphics and photography. Original "live" painting, creative text and other artistic elements further draw the audience in to worship God with their whole being.

Moses said to God,  “What is [your] name?... what shall I tell them?" God said to Moses, "I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: I AM [Yahweh] has sent me to you ... this is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation”.  Exodus 3: 13-15
