Album Notes

Trevor Hall is a young phenom originally from South Carolina. Influenced by Jack Johnson and Ben Harper, Trevor's music captures a soulfulness and spirituality rarely found in this day and age. This new album debuts along with his 2004 summer tour across the U.S. with the legendary reggae band Steel Pulse.

His politically aware song "Proof Of Destruction" has become a hometown favorite. Trevor has performed at the High Sierra Music Festival, House Of Blues and has made a home base at the new Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles.

Trevor has performed in Guatemala at a benefit for the Rose Educational Foundation, in L.A. for the PSArts Fundation fighting to keep arts in public schools and recently performed on Capital Hill in Washington DC in front of Congress for the Arts Advocasy Council along with Bob Weir and other luminaries also fighting for the arts in public schools.

This album, Lace Up Your Shoes, was produced in Baltimore, MD by John Alagia who has produced albums for such notables as Dave Matthews, Jason Mraz, John Mayer and many others.

My first exposure to Trevor was a concert in Denver with with Colby Caillat. He's just fun, smooth and nice to listen to. This album reflects that. I gave it four stars because I like him better live.
