Album Notes

Already receiving widespread radio play, this independent four piece hailing from North East Victoria, Australia is sure to gain recognition with this album that flows gracefully between organic sounds, alternative rock, blues and funk.

Fronted by the charismatic, raw and powerful vocalist, Dallas Frasca who is often compared to the likes of Renee Geyer and the late "Janis Joplin" in her own right an identity becoming well known within the industry. She whisks the listener away with her amazing strength and versatility in her vocals. She is complimented perfectly by Daniel Firth who graces us with his refreshingly unique guitar driven licks. Greig Withers however turns the band up a couple of notches on the bass by exerting immense influence on the overall sound of the band giving it that funk feel whilst Liam Cuffley's passionate and flamboyant drumming style together produce an experience that must be worth a listen!
"There is a driving quality you can feel within you when you see Trevor's House's live performances."

Trevor's House are a young band ((with some 52 years experience between them!!) 22-27yrs) who are artistically trying to achieve an expression of themselves within their music to inspire and enable wider audiences to be exposed to this talented young band.

"Dallas Frasca was the talk of Buffalo 2001 as regular blues festival attendees asked, "Where has she been hiding?"".....TERRY LOCKWOOD, ARTISIC DIRECTOR, AUSTRALIAN BLUES FESTIVAL

The album that was released Nov 2002 has already had two tracks included on two separate compilation albums with their songs, Tune on Girl Comp2 released June 2002 and Blessin' In Disguise released through Black Market Music Oct 2003.

SHANE DOUTHIE, JOURNALIST, (ALBUM REVIEW, The Chronicle, 18th DECEMBER 2002)..........

"I grew up with the sounds of folk rock groups like Jethro Tull as well as the soul blues sound from Motown and Trevor's House provides the same feel with perhaps a tighter even rockier touch which makes it all the more interesting.
Some tunes are simply easy listening.

Like Soar 2 and No Coincidence, the latter very Tull-like with a dash of Isaac Hayes on the guitar. My picks go to One Cent, a distinctive bayou sound where Frasca's voice becomes almost eerie in its roughness, throaty like Bobby Gentry from Tallahassie Bridge fame with a twang in the guitar to add that deep south sound. Blessin' in Disguise is a fast paced, rockabilly almost bluegrass sound, the instrumental taking on a slide guitar edge and the drums, which certainly add the tribal element to many of the tracks, getting a solo in pacey, syncopated rhythm.

"Success is the best revenge" the lyrics to Blessin' say and if that can also refer to anyone who may have doubted this bands talent then the words are also prophetic.

For a first time effort this is one hell of an album, and whether your tastes are folk, rock, soul or blues, there is something for everyone who wants a little more from their music and a little muscle in the lyrics."

Positve AND Contagious!

Oh man, this is totally groovy! The way this four-piece puts it all down is mesmerising! So many infectious guitar licks and a growling bass that sets the house a'rumblin'! And don't worry about Janis Joplin being gone, because her sultry tones live on in the disguise of Dallas! Worth every cent!
