June 2004 marks the release of Ben Trexel's third instrumental CD, DEEP IN THE MIX. Three years in the making, this eleven song tour de force further cements Trexel's place among modern rock guitarists. As on his previous two instrumental CDs, Wearing A Groove (1997), and Under the Radar (2000), Trexel delves into powerful, dramatic guitar rock interspersed with his own unique style of contemplative acoustic guitar. Trexel states, "This album is for people who love guitar. My goal is to broaden the appeal of instrumental rock music to those that might not normally choose to listen to it. This album truly takes the listener on a musical journey. Next time you are dreading a long drive, put this album in and you will reach your destination before you know it."
Trexel works as an independent producer, mixing engineer, and composer based in Birmingham, Alabama. In addition to Trexel's solo work, he is also a founding member of the modern rock group APPLESPACEBAR whose debut album, WELCOME TO THE DREAM was released in January of 2009.
