Triangular Regression has been composing and recording music since 1996. It first started as a small home recording studio, with just a computer and a MIDI compatible keyboard. The first album was called Genesis but people were slow to accept it at the time. However, fans of that album stayed with the act through 12 years of experimenting, and each successive album made more fans.
Although the musical style changed through the years as technology and the studio improved, the music is best described as Experimental Pop/Easy Listening. Bands that have influenced the music to a large extent include Modern Talking, Frank Duval, Paradise Lost, Enigma, Vangelis, Mike Oldfield and Delerium. These sounds can be found throughout the collection of albums and some songs even sound like they belong on one of those bands\' albums!
Triangular Regression recently started equipping a new studio under the name Hollow Studios (http://www.hollow.co.za). Three new albums are in the pipeline to be released under the Hollow Studios name.
Hollow Studios and the artists it records for, including Triangular Regression, believe in one cornerstone moral: give something back. It is for this purpose that Hollow Studios donate almost all profits to charity organizations, after deducting the cost of producing an album. We and our artists believe in using our talents not for personal gain, but for the gain of others less fortunate.
