Mixx Magazine Was There :

..."Tony Richards and his irrepressible Kman Band blew the walls out at Tavern Near The Green. It was an intense and energetic show" ... "everybody here has just come from the last place The Kman Band played. It's a band that inspires loyalty and admiration. When you see these guys on stage once .... ONCE ... you know that you have just experienced something special"....

" To try to define the 'type' of music this band plays is both difficult and rather unfair. They tend to defy labels and categories. A hybrid, perhaps, of funk, rock and r&b."

"There is reciprocal energy of indeterminate kind flowing back and forth between band and audience. Goethe once said that architecture is simply frozen music. On this evening, experiencing the Kman Band, I know what he means"
M.C.Alves Mixx Magazine

... So you stand in line in the cold of a November night, waiting for the privilege of handing over a cover charge to the doorman. When you finally make it, the place is a wall to wall jumble of bodies. 40 year old carpenters, lopsided nearly new wave hair-dos, preppie/yuppie couples, waitresses, professional photographers, and who knows what else, all packed, sweaty and undulating, to Tony Richards and The Kman Band. Richards and the band are relentless in their quest to make people party and sweat and yell and dance. He leads the horn section and half the audience out the exit door and onto the highway while the rest of the band holds down Bob Dylans ' Rainy day woman #12 and 35'.... it's like very early J. Geils crossed with The Ramones. They play what they feel and feel what they play ... and to put it mildly, the audience reacts accordingly.
C.W. Vrtacek Fairfield County Advocate

...."This isn't just any band" ... "This is Tony Richards and The Kman Band, a rousing six-piece rock and roll ensemble equipped with an exhilerating horn section comprising a white hot saxophonist and a bald-headed, barefoot trombonist who performs aerobics with his instrument, while the other members move in a flurry of Temptations-like moves and fancy footwork... if this sounds like a rock and roll circus, it's because you can be sure of having a great time just watching them play" ....
"But these musicians are not clowning around. They mean business".....
Mary Ellen Elias Fairpress

..."Auditory Assault "...
..."Kman Band Packs a Serious Punch"...
..."the Kman show is one frenetic throwdown"...
Scott Puden (Carolina Life Editor) The Gamecock

... Live Sweat is engineered by legendary recording engineer Kooster McAlister and produced by legendary producer Thom Panunzio, who produced U2's "Rattle and Hum" and Bruce Springsteen's live 5 record set .... It was like nothing I'd ever heard ....the audience can expect the unexpected .....
Brian Tarcy Cape Cod Times

it's their powerhouse party sound that makes Tony Richards and the Kman Band so popular, drawing more people on the second of two night bookings as word spreads around.
The Kman band has a solid mix of r&b and passion at its core. These guys work, and work hard .....

Ear Candy
Incredible music combining the best of the 'best" musical genres in rock and roll. The fact that Tony is helping countless animals live to see another day via album sales only makes this ear candy even sweeter! \0/

Great CD - felt like I was back at the Tavern. The real smile is how much my kids like the music!
