Ms.Belan seems to be brimming with potential.
But I deduct one star because the guy at the
soundboard allowed the musicians -especially the
guitarist- almost to cover up the rather delicate
vocal qualities (or was it the tentativeness) of
the singer.  If she listened to the playbacks
before approving the session(s) to disc, she was
either (1)too polite to point out the bad engin-
eering, (2)unaware that her voice was being up-
staged by her combo, or (3)she just needs better
management. In any event, I will look forward to
hearing more of her on a future CD... and LESS
of the others, who are there for background!

I enjoyed this artist's rendition of some of my favorite songs so much that it was my Christmas gift to many of my friends!  We have all become fans and look forward to a new release soon.

I just loved the mix of songs on this CD -- everything from the 1940's to a Barry Manilow song that I had almost forgotten about from the 1980's.  All are performed beautifully with the singer's easy-going, smooth voice and a well-balanced background.  This CD is a perfect choice for a night by the fire with a good glass of wine!
