C’est au rythme de son folk-urbain amalgamant jazz, trip-hop, folk et électronica que Tricia Foster s’est fait connaître. Son premier album Tricia 412 lancé en 2004 présente une artiste engagée dôtée d’une voix puissante et mélodieuse. C’est avec cette même voix que cette auteure-compositeure-interprète peint son univers autant féérique que crû. Les textes livrent le témoignage d’une jeune artiste tantôt fougueuse, tantôt complice, tantôt séduite qui constate les beautés et failles de ce monde. Le chaos politique et écologique, les amours interdits et l’absurdité du comportement humain ne sont que quelques thèmes qui moulent l’imaginaire de l’album qui groove au son des cuivres, guitares, percussions et harmonies
