The crowd stirs about, like an angry mob, anticipating the
arrival of the executioner at a public lynching, awaiting the first smash of cymbal and the strike of guitar. At the sound of the first note the pit erupts into a frenzy pitch in which only the strong survive. The unit smashes ahead with compositions that penetrate the listeners' skull like a pulverizing freight train through a brick wall. Fans are kept mesmerized by the commanding presence of the frontman and his ability of pitch control, while the band dances
through progressive passages, ranging from ultra speed, to pure grunge.
Perpetual motion fused with uncanny tightness fuel the mobs fire until each ending of song delivers a shock wave like a wrecking ball to a condemned building. Each song undertakes a different time signature and builds to a power groove, and then, as you stand, palms aching and
sweating from fists held in a clinch, staring at the smoke filled stage, you wonder what kind of vehicle just rolled over your mind. But as the cobwebs clear and you regain you faculties you begin to realize you have just entered the….Trigger Zone.
Formed in 1984. Trigger Zone fused together as a power metal band playing original material offering melodic vocal content mixed with an aggressive crunch sound. This chemisrty, at first, came as a shock to the scene known to be conservative(Columbus, Ohio). But, with each performance their support grew, attracting a broader range of listeners. This resulted from ultra-tight live performances and the blending of crunch rhythm
structures and memorable vocal content. Recording credits
feature a cut on the 1990 Auburn Records compilation release "Heavy Artillery". A 1992 self-titled 5 song demo, "Trigger Zone" and a cut on the currently released compilation, "USRocker Audio Magazine #1."
With their release and ongoing support of national shows
such as Pantera, Sacred Reich, Sanctuary, Annihalator, Forced Entry, Etc,. Trigger Zone proves to be moving up the ranks inthe underground realm.
Now, 15+ years later, compiled from various recordings comes the first ever Cd release from Trigger Zone. Remastered from it's original cassette form comes "Bone Crusher".
