Key Word Descriptions:
*Innovative, Acoustic Instrumental Trio: Psycho Tantric Juju Jazz
Cello, Silver Flute, Djembe & Percussion
*Most tangibly described as a cross between Dead Can Dance & Acoustic Instrumental
Jethro Tull

Band Bio:
Trillian Green is the dynamic, innovative acoustic trio composed of Christine Gunn (Cello), Ben Klein (Silver Flute & Moon Guitar), and Jarrod Kaplan (Djembe, Anklets, & Percussion). Blending Classical, Rock, and a wide variety of ethnic influences, Trillian Green developed a unique style & sound, often described as "lushly melodic, with medieval, middle eastern & celtic flavors."

The group originally gelled at The Oregon Country Fair (1994), and rapidly progressed from street performing to coffee houses & clubs, to large-scale festivals & theaters throughout the Northwestern US & California.
After 4 years of rigorous touring, the group disbanded in 1998, and Jarrod Kaplan (Trillian Green percussionist) moved on to perform with HANUMAN, and then TAARKA (currently performing).

CD Bio:
The band's 2nd release, entitled "Metamorphoses" was produced by Mark Nichols (producer/arranger for Sub-Pop recording artists Jeremy Enegk, & The Walkabouts) and co-produced by Todd Fogelsonger of Crystal Park (live productions of The Presidents of The United States of America, & Joan Jett, among others).
Metamorphoses captures the sensation of Trillian Green's live performance, with the power of their sound and crafty musicianship. "A master work and epic musical journey."

How peaceful and simple. The sounds sparkle and dance around your soul while Kissing your ears. A true astronomical masterpiece.

Complex and simple. Organic, lush and rich.

This is a true gem. Organic and lush. Sensational melodies inspired from the four corners of the world. Sonically beautiful with deep lows from cello and percussion and sweet highs from the silk like silver flute. Excellent relax-and-forget-the-world music. In my mind I always see some whirling, wildly dressed barefoot-nomad swaying to these sounds. It can loop a dozen times and not feel repetative.
