Trio Alchemy is pianist Bob Weller, drummer Tim McMahon, and Bassist Rob Thorsen. We are a highly Improvisational group that feature our original compositions as well as arrangements of current and traditional jazz songs. We are all professional musicians with varied backgrounds but have found that the particular chemistry of this group is unique. It allows us the freedom to formulate and create without the traditional boundaries often imposed on musicians. This cd is a culmination of playing together for the past 11 years. It represents where the group has evolved to during this time period.

I bought this CD on the basis of the samples on CDBaby. I knew nothing about the band. I really enjoy the improvisation and I like the space of the trio. The tunes all move nicely and there is enough harmonic brinksmanship to keep you guessing. I listen to this CD a lot. Its like a place to go to. Read more...
