Album Notes

A couple reviews from CDBABY customers:

Trio Garufa is an exceptional group. The arrangements and their musical skill is noteworthy and should be enjoyed by far reaching audiences.

This album is truely awsome! If you do not dance, it is fun to listen, if you dance, you can dance to EVERY track of this disk. Almost all the tracks are traditional Argentine tangos, with a notable exception of Grand Hotel California. Yes, folks - it is the same one by Eagles, arranged and played by Trio Garufa as tango with virtuosity!

Hubby & I saw this band play live in SF @ Cafe Claude. They really set the mood for a great dinner. CD did not disappoint - I highly recommend.

Great CD to add to your tango collection

Classics and newbies (I've never heard a tango-esque version of Hotel California before, but it works!), you can hear the connection between the three musicians as they play. The music breathes, just as the dancing should. Wonderful!

Saw them live in SF recently and they knocked me out. I bought the cd and it too is fantastic. Trio Garufa are great musicans and play wonderful music that is deep and moody but fun too. I didn't know much about tango music and dancing but I definitely want to know more now.
