Album Notes

Triple Chicken Foot is a Los Angeles based Old Time stringband. Having played together for more than five years, The Foot has honed their chops and focused in on playing Old Time music rooted in tradition. Spending time with veteran players around Los Angeles and the country, they have soaked up knowledge and techniques handed down through the years. The Foot finds their voice through their repertoire of tunes and songs, be it gospel songs, archaic banjo tunes, or crooked fiddle tunes. They have also recently finished recording their second full length CD titled Tar Rivers, to be released in April.

I love basic string music uncomplicated and pure.  This would definately make the Original Carter Family proud.  My favorite on the disc is Beautiful Brown Eyes but I liked the entire set.  Keep up the good work and don\'t change a thing.  Mikeu

An album that completely knocked me out - TKO!

I put this album on while doing some work, and I had to keep stopping to see every song or tune that they were doing.  The singing songs, the sad tunes, ruck-usy, yet so well played out!  I really heart I-5 Stomp, Beautiful Brown Eyes and the whole gang chorusing on the last gospel tune.  Kudos!  Keep a stompin'!
