Album Notes

Jeff Trippe is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist originally from Jacksonville, Florida. Jeff began playing stringed instruments when he was very young and has performed in various blues, bluegrass, Celtic, and rock bands for many years. In 2006, he moved to Maine and joined The Mutineers, a highly regarded acoustic trio based in Portland. The Big Woods, comprised almost entirely of original songs, is Jeff's solo masterpiece. "I totally enjoyed the songwriting and enthusiasm of the performances. Jeff is a great musician, and that comes through the mix loudly and clearly." - Bob Mckillop, Mainefolkmusic.com "Great work, Jeff!" - Chris Stuart, International Bluegrass Music Association
