Ever wondered if you could put down how your last couple of years has been, just to take a step back and see things for how they really are? With these ten tracks, Tristan does just that. He lets you get inside his head for a little while to walk around, and try and make sense of things. The songs on this album sum up what life is like for a lot of people. To be in love, to be looking for more out of life, and to just feel lost every now and then.
His lyrics paint pictures of night time scenes, too much to drink, people in love, or feeling unloved, all while just teetering on the optimistic side of things..."Night crawled over the valley, stole away the day like a thief. And the dogs cried, and the owls howled, and the devil soaked his feet." from the albums Johnny Cash-esque country folk ballad "The Crying Hills", Tristan brings you to a place, maybe a small mountain town somewhere in a valley, where something just isn't quite right in the air that particular night, and the devil just sits back and smiles.
A long time New Hampshire native, now living in Brooklyn NY, Tristan has had quite a ride with his guitar in his 23 years on this earth- 12 of which he's been playing, writing music, and touring around the eastern coast of the US. Fresh out of the long running NH Spotlight Award nominated rock and roll trio The Asthmatics, Tristan is back on the scene once again with what will be his seventh independent release. The only difference this time is that he gets on stage with just a guitar, and his unique, loud and melodic voice that he's known for; sometimes compared to Hank Williams Sr.
With over 350 performances under his belt, and many more to come, Tristan is a driving force in the Rock and Americana genres, as well as a mainstay on the east coast music scene. Never slowing down, and never giving up. As long as the songs keep coming, then he'll keep playing, and it doesn't seem like he's slowing down any time soon.
