Album Notes

TR Kelley's 1997 concept album. More details later when we dig them out of the box. It's from before the cyber age, dig? We have to find all those analog press kits and reviews. Short form, This is TR when her voice was higher and she had no drums or electric guitars. Scathing political commentary and songs of heartbreaking intimacy in her unmistakeable stretchy contralto.
Vocal style & tone comparisons: Phoebe Snow, Joan Armatrading, Ray Charles.

If you resonate with sparse acoustic folk-jazz in the vein of Joni Mitchell's mid-70's work with Jaco Pastorius, check this out.
