Album Notes

This album was forged through years of winter retreats to an attic recording space on desolate Gebung Woods Road in Alfred, Maine. Inspiration was found in icicles and frozen steps to the studio, faded polaroids left by the previous tenants of the attic, and copious amounts of absinthe consumed to keep the cold at bay and the muse at hand.

It is an eclectic batch album ranging from straight folk to pensive Beck-like ballads, to straight-up happy pop. Drums were tracked at Acme Studios (Mamaroneck, NY) and at Jame's home in CT by veritable session cats Joey Bonadio and Floyd Murphy. Overdubbing and production is provided by Dochtermann and Prosek though other musicians were invited into the attic to hallucinate along to the tunes and leave their trails.
