Although failing to enlighten his parents with an hour-long a’capella recording at age ten…Troy Michael Petty has found, musically embedded in his soul, a reason to sing.
Now a stalwart on the Chicago local music scene, Troy has manifested a musical palette
symbolic of his astrological sign: Gemini, showcasing his overall sound through both an ‘electric’ and ‘acoustic’ foundation.

Drummer Jay Will and bassist/pianist Joseph L’Amour blend coherently into what has
become troy’s standard three piece act. Generally labeled Alternative/Indie/Rock/Pop, troy’s minimalist approach refines each song drawing you further amongst different sub-genres. Painting pictures of isolation, love and the struggles of the human spirit, troy evinces a strong emotional quality and sense of honesty that is not so often found in mainstream arenas.
