This is "True Rhythm & Soul", the self-titled EP by True Rhythm & Soul.

True Rhythm & Soul (TRS) is a Southern California-based band that has been hitting the Orange and San Diego County music scenes with a fiery blend of Latin, blues and classic soul and old school. Since the band's inception in 2002 TRS has evolved from its garage band roots attracting seasoned musicians with diverse musical backgrounds and influences ranging from heavy metal to classic soul. TRS fuses the earthy, gritty sounds of guitar with the full, emphatic ambience of Latin horns.

The TRS mission is to follow collective creativity to whatever end. This mantra is clearly evident in the diversity and the unique blend of musical styles that characterize the "TRS sound." TRS has an extensive library of original compositions that has been received with critical acclaim. In December, 2004, True Rhythm & Soul released a self-titled EP containing four popular TRS tune: "Lady", "Thank You, Love", "Been Lovin' You", and "Moon Is Shining."

"Lady" is a heavy Latin-based jam that features energetic horn lines and funky rock rhythms. The song also features signature guitar and horn solos a la Santana and Yngwie Malmsteen.

"Thank You, Love" is a Tower of Power-esque composition with a heavy horn complement, fiery guitar work, and bi-lingual poetics. This tune is a favorite of TRS fans who love the energy and the dynamic diversity of this song.

"Been Loving You" is a throw back to the "Old School." This song is the ultimate ballad for the romantic gangsta. Great for cruising and easy listening.

"Moon Is Shining" is arguably TRS's most popular song. It has an upbeat feel that will get you on your feet and movin'.
