Album Notes

About the band

Front man, Stan Charles, grew up in the San Francisco Bay area. At the mere age of two, he began sitting in with his dad's band, and continued through the years playing music with his family. This inspired him to create original music and form bands at an early age. After graduating from high school, he decided to move to Long Beach and study music at Cal State University Long Beach.

Living there sparked a love for dub reggae and he performed throughout the area until he moved to Truckee. Stan decided to continue his musical endeavors and formed a band shortly after the move.

He hooked up with his dad, Pete, an accomplished bass player, whose first recording contract was with RCA Records at the age of 21. Good choice....Then, Stan asked his sister, Jenni to back the band up on percussion, fiddle, and vocals.

She had been playing the fiddle since the age of five. While studying at UC Santa Cruz, she was introduced to djembe and all sorts of percussion instruments in Latin, Jazz and African music classes. She's been jammin' out ever since...

Next, Josh Roelle and Stan hit it off while playing guitar together and decided that their musical styles definitely mixed well. Josh can switch it up on harmonica, and keyboard. A perfect addition to the band. Josh is from Iowa....

Enter Brian Hess... rippin' tenor sax and keyboard player. His unique style and expertise with effects is tribally complementary...

To round it off Stan found Ryan Davis. Ryan is an awesome drummer and an inspiration to the whole group. Ryan is from Tahoe by way of Boonville...

Truckee Tribe's original style has created an explosive fan base. They are the wave of the dub future, breaking new ground and delivering a reggae frenzy among all of the Truckee/Tahoe area. Spread the dub and come to their next show!
