Album Notes

Elaborate harmonies, driving guitar solos and introspective lyrics make up the heart and soul of TrueHeart’s new CD The Road. The self titled single is a current Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary track. The holiday release “Plan for Peace” will be followed by as yet to be selected third single from this powerful anthology.

A contemplative adult contemporary collection capable of entertaining and empathizing with every generation, The Road is an unparalleled attempt at reconnecting us with ourselves. The standard song fare of falling in and out of love and back in again is explored from different angles. Dealing with loss, pain and recovery are amplified by the poignant arrangements so that as you hear and comprehend the words, the soundtrack to those images compliments the mood perfectly.

With luxuriant yet pure production values, the emphasis is clearly on the lyrics and melodies and the picture is completed through the vocal work of TrueHeart composer and lead singer, Ross Vick.

This is an album with something to say and is expressed in a way that is completely accessible. Beginning with the hopeful “Still Time” The Road takes you along on an adventure where each track explores nooks and crannies of just getting through the day. Some tracks dust off old memories and ask the age old question “What is the meaning of life?” And others are looking forward to dreamy happy ever after endings while coming to grips with bittersweet realities. The final track asks the question “Where Are You?” and leaves one wondering just who the “You” is.

TrueHeart is based in Dallas, Texas. A true music cooperative, Ross Vick and his producer, Gary Leach at Rosewood Studios in Tyler, Texas collaborated on this project, a year in the making. The Road, this road at least, is one deserving of a long serene Sunday drive.
