“Bluegrass Unlimited” magazine said about “Seasonal Life”: they have “…one foot planted in bluegrass and the other in fun!”
True Life Travelers recently released the group’s first recorded project, “Seasonal Life”. This is a CD full of traditional holiday songs with strong vocals, beautiful harmonies and the cheery acoustic sounds of the holiday season.
Mary Jo and Charlie Leet join forces and voices with Linda and Chris Tatarian to perform as the
‘True Life Travelers’ (TLT). TLT dips into bluegrass, gospel and traditional American music with powerful vocal harmonies and an entertaining style.
Charlie (upright bass) and Mary Jo (guitar), bring over 20 years of experience performing around the world with the Dry Branch Fire Squad bluegrass band and have recorded many projects with that band on Rounder Records. They live in Patrick Springs, VA on “The Crooked Road – Virginia’s Heritage Music Trail” and have recorded two independent music projects: the recently released CD, DUET and an early project (now on CD) I Love Bluegrass. Working as a duet or in concert with fine musicians, this pair enjoys sharing their American Acoustic Music experience with the live audience!
Hailing originally from Milaca, MN, Linda plays 5-string banjo and brings strong lead and harmony vocals to the mix as well as her audience-engaging style. Chris supplies tasteful guitar, melodic
harmonica and sings harmony to round out TLT’s powerful quartets. Chris and Linda, Troy, Ohio residents, are the “roots” of Rum River Blend and since 1992 they have performed a blend of traditional bluegrass, folk, gospel and children's songs.
