The Person:

TRUE (Kenneth Howard) has been actively involved in the music business for over ten years. In this time, he has become a master hip-hop artist possessing clever rhyming skills while developing a charismatic stage presence. No matter if he is in a group or solo, True has had many performances under his mic and an impressive list of accomplishments that render him TRUE. Nothing but the real deal.

The Performer:

His performances include numerous shows in Chicago, Indianapolis and in Richmond Virginia. As a member of the group The Soul Patrol, together they released a successful EP Something Funky This Way Comes. As a solo artist, True released a single I Got a Good Thing Going which was an instant local hit, landing him on the airwaves of Chicagos WGCI and Indianapolis Hoosier 96.3. All of this has resulted in True becoming one of Chi-Towns finest and turned Chicago into his kind of town. His killer performances leave the crowds hyped and standing on their feet. Audiences at The Subterranean, Crocodile Lounge, the prestigious Vic, Congress Theater, and the renowned Regal Theater have all been witness to Trues dynamics as an MC. He has opened up for many national recording artists including Rich Boy, Goodie Mob and BG, along with some of Chi-town's finest: Twista, Do Or Die and Common. He has also accompanied the infamous 2 Live Crew on their nationwide tour.


The Professional:

PAPERMILL ENTERTAINMENT. In 2003 True, along with childhood friend Henry “Hoop” Brown and Joseph McKee formed PAPERMILL ENTERTAINMENT, a joint venture focusing on music and media. For their record label (Papermill) the belief is that through hard work and hot talent, coupled with strong material and savvy business moves the same successes the major labels reap can be attained for PAPERMILL. A label where the artist will be respected and will not get lost in the shuffle. The first step towards a platinum direction is True’s new CD LEGACY.

The Legacy:

This joint, by far, is the one of the hottest debut records in recent memory. LEGACY is a solid disc featuring True’s unmatched lyrical flair and his ooooh so cool delivery. A classic in the making, Legacy’s blazing tracks are the result of True collaborating with Chicago’s best and baddest! Producers Duke II, J Bravo, DayRock Scar and Funkworm provided the coldest beats and grooves to compliment the rhymes of True and his friends (guest rappers Reese MAC, Kenny Bogus, and Supmaine). On the mellow tip vocalist Lisa Lane, Keynote, Genie and Kozii assist True when he feels like smoothing it out. Overall LEGACY is burning and will have heads bobbin’ constantly.
