ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Los Truenos De Tejas originated in a small farm town by the name of Dilley Texas, which is the mid point between San Antonio and Laredo Texas. The band was founded by Francisco Ramirez, an immigrant worker who fathered 8 sons. Growing up in South Texas like their father the boys grew a passion for baseball and music. The four older brothers Roque(bass), Frank(accordion), Rodolfo(drums) and Ricardo (bajosexto & 1st voice) started the first band and called themselves Conjunto Tejano. After a few years of performing in local bars and parties the younger brothers Juan and Albert were sought out by Frank to start performing. Unwilling Juan would run up to the top of the house and hide on the rooftop. Frank being persistent he got him down and convinced him to sing. A little shy Juan sang and the public loved it. Quickley after some time the band became a hit and crowd favorite! The band of brothers had a great combination, with four singers in the group. Juan and Ricardo would alternate in singing 1st voice depending on the songs they would perform. Frank and Albert would alternate on the cumbias. Albert who quickly dominated the accordian became a great master of his trade and would get the crowds going with great polkas and huapangos aside from everything else. Easily after the boys were picked up by an upcoming record label and changed the name of the band to what it is today Los Truenos De Tejas. For the last 30 years Los Truenos recorded for numerous labels such as Zarape, Cara, Super Tex, Del Bravo Records, Freddie Records, Hacienda Records, Sound Mex Sony Distribution. All thru the years the one thing that makes Los Truenos are their live performance's. The people demand the unique style that the band offers They shout out "Canchuy canta El Troquero, Canta Ambicion, Dale Te Prometido, Horale Frank Dr. Fernando, Cuyo una Polka un Huapango", The song list goes on non-stop, and the people can't get enough of this music, dancing, drinking and having a good ole Texas time. Los Truenos are proud to present their new album Reloaded/Recargado you get this great package for you to keep and take home forever. Cherish the new recording of Los Truenos De Tejas which has been missing for the last 20 years.
