Truett & The Traitors have an incredibly accessible brand of rock and roll, with three-part vocal harmonies and grooves that make you want to get up and dance. Having toured from town to town earning fans of all genres with their high-energy live sets, they've garnered media attention on the local and national stages, such as from Doug Brod, editor of Spin Magazine: "Nice stuff...very well-crafted and -played songs. Some of the vocals on these songs have a Liam Gallagher feel-- a good thing."
In August of this year, the band finished, with mixing help from the talented Jeff Smith, their first collaborative self-titled EP “Truett & The Traitors”. The four new songs are their best yet, ranging from poptastic “One Way to the Future” to roots Americana “Rest”, which features a mouth harp throughout the entire chorus. “We’ve been perfecting these songs for a year, which is why they are so strong. You can really get a sense for how much we enjoy playing them,” says Truett.
They’ve put the work in, they’ve got the songs. Give them a listen, they won’t do you wrong.
