Impulsive music- A selection of compositions from 2000-2004 by Swedish crossover composer Thomas Rydell. Except for the live track (Textures) the music on this CD is a combination of acoustic and electronic instruments. To best describe the music on this album imagine Tangerine Dream (the 70s or early 80s stuff) in combination with minimalist composers like Steve Reich or Terry Riley. Add a touch of Brian Eno and you're almost there...
About Thomas:
I have always been interested in crossover music; music that is hard to label. I like musical experiments and new combinations of traditions and instruments. My influences come from progressive rock, ambient music, contemporary classical music, film music, ethnic and folk music.
Today I work as a composer/arranger/producer of music for media; films, TV shows, websites etc.
