This is what I call honest music.
Nothing gets lost here: the lyrics are clear, concise and poetic. The acoustic guitar is punctuated with just the right amount of backup instrumental. It's "hear" music, indeed!

The more you listen to it, the more you like it!!
This is the kind of CD you can put on and enjoy while you're doing other things, or give it your full attention and get swept up in the lyrics and the straightforward well performed melodies.

Complex folk/ballad lyrics with a nice acoustical sound!
I very much enjoyed the melodies of Rick's songs right from the start. However, the more I listened, the more I came to appreciate the depth of the lyrics. Each song paints a more complex picture of the message behind the tune. I appreciate the acoustic guitar sound since that is what demonstrates the guitar skills. I particularly enjoy Love Never Leaves You Behind but each song has its own tempo and style. Rick proves that there are some great musicians/songwriters/storytellers that you have to find because they don't always find you. Listen and you will know what I mean.

Wonderful CD. It is rare to find an artist whose voice leaves you wanting more.
Wonderful CD. The depth of the lyrics and the stories each song tells make you imagine that you are there. The clarity of his voice resonates in your head. Killer music.

Enjoyed this CD very much!
There is only one tune that I'm not wild about. I often find myself humming and singing most of the tunes throughout the day.
