"With A Latin Touch" - was one of the most "fun" CDs we've ever made. It was also the most time consuming. We went for the Les Paul sound with multiple guitar tracks. It was indeed - challenging. We've included several arrangements which are currently being used by dance instructors all around the world. Your response has been terrific! Thanks to all.
Bio:
From the age of 6, Jesse knew what he wanted to do; play the guitar! Luckily his mother knew about a half dozen chords and from that beginning, he practiced every free moment. In his teens he discovered jazz and began studying with a teacher at the University of Oregon. At 19, he decided to "go for it" - loaded everything he owned into his car and headed for Los Angeles. He soon landed a job as a studio musician. There he had the good fortune to meet and work with many popular artists of the time, such as, Roy Orbison, Buddy Holley, Bobby Darin, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, James Burton (Elvis Presley's guitar player) and many, many more.
He has worked almost every venue from Las Vegas to Reno to Chicago. "Those casino gigs could be tough." says Jesse. "You had to read all the charts for the different shows. I've met and worked with people like Glen Campbell, Fats Domino, Bobby Darin, The Righteous Brothers, Roger Miller, Little Richard and even the great Chuck Berry."
"The unusual gigs were things like playing background music for an elephant act, or playing banjo behind a comedy team. Still, all in all - I wouldn't trade the experience for anything." "Most of the time it was great fun with great people. And I will always be thankful to those wonderful artists who gave me work. They made my musical career a reality".

The "Sweet Hot" Guitars of Jesse Lee Johnson
author: E. Lake
This is a very nice clean sounding album for those that appreciate recognizable melodies, without vocals, played by a talented guitar player. I’m looking forward to more songs from this creative musician; songs like The Very Thought of You, Isn’t It Romantic, Love Walked In, Blue Velvet, Chiquitita, Dancing Queen, Witchcraft, etc.

Great sound bites Jesse!
Cant wait to hear the entire CD!
I'm going to order it later this afternoon but I couldn't wait to say hello. I was the bass player in the house band at the Palominio Club in LA in the 60s, when you used to come in and jam with James Burton and Glen Campbell. You guys scared us all to death!
Thanks, Brad Wilson
