The Singing Kings Of Joy

The Singing Kings Of Joy originated in 1944, in Sanford, Fl. with Cleve Gipson, Thomas Lawson, James Davis, Cleveland Debose and others. They would sing at Churches,banquets and other engagements. In the 60's James Smith, Willie Baker, Henry Debose joined the group. Smith and Baker are still members today. In the 70's Floyd and Theo Stringer, Charlie Foreman, Harry Watson, John Henderson and Johnny Golden joined the group to replace some of the older ones. In the 80's,Cleve Gipson, John Henderson and the Stringer Bros. became Ministers and now are Pastors at Churches in the area. In the mid 80's William and Issac Glenn join the group as the new lead singers, then Chris Glenn joined as the drummer. The Group has sung in many Churches,Town and Cities.

The Singing Kings Of Joy new CD is ( He'll Bring You Out). This CD project consist of songs written by William Glenn, Issac Glenn and Johnny Golden. The songs will have you clapping your hands and stomping your feet through the entire CD.

The members today are:

William Glenn - lead singer

Issac Glenn - lead and background vocals

James Smith - background vocals

Fred Baker - background vocals

Johnny Golden Sr. - lead,background vocals,Guitar Player

David Brown - bass player & keyboards,strings

Chris Glenn - drummer

Shane Smith - keyboards,strings,organs

And thanks to Joseph Darling - bass player.
