You are about to be transformed to the next level of gospel instrumental music. The new cd by gospel announcer and saxophonist Tony Smith has just been released. This venture is entitled "Rewind...Let's Do It Again Vol.1". Tony and his host of talented musicians take the art of gospel instrumental to heights like never heard before. Tony states, "I wanted to capture the live sound of recording this genre of music while keeping the anointing over it". You will no doubt find some classic favorites that will be played for years to come. Tony brought in some special invited guest musicians who gave of their gifts to be a part of this recording. You will hear the likes of saxophonist Ron Brown, from Mankind Records, the prophesying guitarist Jonathan DuBose Jr., who has recorded with every major gospel group, trumpeter Syreeta Thomson, who performs with Pastor Hezekiah Walker & LFT, bassists Bryant Wilder, from Mt. Moriah AME Church with Pastor Robert Lowe and Reggie Young from the Lord's Church with Bishop Eric McDaniel. This recording was done at the grammy award winning Bennett Studios in Englewood, NJ. This is the same studio that Tony Bennett records at. The studio captured the "sound" Tony was looking for. With the amount of talent that was at this recording, each individual encouraged the other in their craft. It truly was a spirit-filled occasion. This project is Tony's fourth solo project to date. He enjoys recording and performing to either one or a thousand. He gives his all at every event he is asked to be a part of. He calls what he does a ministry. He believes that he is only doing what God has called him to do. Even though gospel instrumental has no lyrics, Tony manages to convey a message of God's good news through his anointed horn playing. There are classic gospel tunes, hymns and two originals supplied by Tony and pastor Robert E. Wilson. The arrangements on all of these songs will truly touch you spiritually. Take a listen.
