Album Notes

217 Records is proud to release Terri Templeton's third solo recording, CARAVAN.

CARAVAN is Terri's most accomplished vocal recording to date. A wish list of 11 of Terri's favorite songs ever, this outstanding repetoire spans 40 years of great American and British songwriting, and features both familiar and lesser-known songs of the great composers of the 20th century...including Cole Porter, Ray Noble, Johnny Mercer, Vincent Youmans, Noel Coward, Harold Arlen, Duke Ellington, and Eric Maschwitz. Joining Terri on CARAVAN, from Cincinnati, Ohio, are Arranger and Pianist, Billy Larkin; Guitarist Brian Lovely; Bassist Jim Anderson; Drummer Teddy Wilburn; Percussionist Frank McGucken; and Violinist Paul Patterson, with a guest vocal appearance by CARAVAN's Producer, Michael Maglaras.

Terri Templeton's homage to the songwriters she's always loved and to a couple of new ones she's just discovered. It will be hard to categorize this one. Pop? Jazz? Music Theater? Classical American Art Song? We'll let you decide.
Michael Maglaras, 217 Records
