Album Notes

GLADYS E. THOMAS is the youngest of four. Born and raised in New York, Gladys is from a musical family. “My brothers and my sister were practically raised in the recording studio”. Our parents were always recording, touring and performing, around the world. And so I grew up listening to, and learning all types of music.

My mother and father had a huge hit back in the 80’s with an original song called, “You can’t Blame Love”. I think around the world, the record appeared on various compilations and received 8 AMPEX Gold reel Awards. My first real recording is a remake of that classic soul hit. I have four tracks on our company’s (THOMTAY Records) Soul Music Series release and I am proud to be a part of what our parents have done since they were teenagers.
